One thing I've been trying to focus on is getting some random projects done around my house. I am a huge fan of Pinterest and have pinned so many amazing ideas that I intend to put to use around the house. One such idea was transforming my outdated gold heater vents. I live in a mostly original 1967 house that is in need of a lot of tender loving care. I absolutely love it when I stumble across such an easy update project that won't cost a ton of money.
So here's what I did. I took all my heater vents (mine are in the floor in each room of the house) and laid them outside on a piece of scrap cardboard. After giving them a good brushing, I simply spray painted them bronze. After they dried I popped them back into place and wa-la...instant update for under $5 (cost of one can of spray paint)!
Pretty simply, right? I love it when that happens. I really love quick & simple changes that make my home feel more updated and give it a clean look, especially when my project list includes a lot of time consuming and expensive updates.
